The Issachar Anointing

"... of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;..." 1 Chronicles 12:32

You have access by FAITH, through GRACE, by the blood of Jesus, to the seven-fold spirit of God that is described in Isaiah 11. Part of this anointing is the spirit of understanding. This word in the Hebrew is "Binah" and it is the same word that is used in the verse above when it describes the understanding that these sons of Issachar possessed. This anointing is both prophetic and apostolic. They understood, and KNEW what to DO as well. It's like the picture of Nehemiah, a sword in one hand (Prophetic revelation of TIME) and the trowel in the other (apostolic building anointing). 

This anointing is also an intercessory mantle that God desires to bring more and more onto and from within His people. The picture of the tribe of Issachar is often a donkey. The reason for this is because of the blessing of Jacob to his son in Genesis 49:14, "...Issachar is a strong donkey,Lying down between two burdens..." These two "burdens" or mantles are the apostolic and prophetic. They are brought forth into the earth through the means of intercession.
